Chapter 96: Another Friend
“Dang it! Couldn’t he tell me beforehand? Are we even friends anymore?”
Huang Shiting heard Song Junzhe complaining to himself at the other side of the call, “Which hotel does he live in?”
“The Four Seasons. He just returned.”
“OK, thanks. I’ll treat you to dinner some other day.”
Song Junzhe quickly hung up, made his driver prepare a luxurious car, and rushed to the Four Seasons hotel.
At this time, Liu Man and Yu Zhan were getting ready to visit places such as the Victoria Harbour and the Victoria Peak. They were only walking out from the hotel side-by-side before they got stopped by Song Junzhe, who had just got off his car.
Because Yu Zhan respected Liu Man, he kept a certain distance away from her. Besides, Song Junzhe was too excited to see Yu Zhan, so he didn’t notice the girl beside him.
Song Junzhe directly walked towards Yu Zhan with an unpleasant expression. Yu Zhan was surprised to see him, too, “What are you doing here?”
“Haha, why can’t I be here?” Song Junzhe laughed coldly, “If I don’t come to you, you would never take the initiative to find me.”
Yu Zhan felt a bit awkward. If he had come to Hong Kong by himself, he would, of course, call Song Junzhe and have a nice dinner with him. But Yu Zhan was with Liu Man! So, naturally, he had long forgotten Song Junzhe.
Yu Zhan was totally someone who would give up his best friends for a girl.
Song Junzhe had just noticed a girl was standing beside Yu Zhan.
!!!!!!
Song Junzhe was shocked on the inside, but his eyes, like flashlights, scanned Liu Man from head to toe.
Her appearance is pretty; Her skin is in a light shade; Her hair is black; Her waist is lean; Her butt seems nice; Her legs are long. Mhm, her chest parts seem large, too.
Perfect!
She was the exact type of girl he liked!
Wait a second. She seemed to be Yu Zhan’s woman, so he will only admire her for a second.
No wonder Yu Zhan was Yu Zhan.
He did have high expectations.
He had been single ever since he was born, and the first girlfriend he found was from heaven.
Liu Man was scared of Song Junzhe’s examination, so she hid behind Yu Zhan.
“Zhe, Man Man is timid, and you’re scaring her.”
“Oh, so she’s Man Man,” Song Junzhe dragged his words and talked to Liu Man with Yu Zhan in between them, “Hello, Man Man. I’m Song Junzhe, a friend of Zhan’s.”
Liu Man poked her head out from behind Yu Zhan and said in a small voice, “Hello. It’s all right for you to call me Liu Man.”
Her timidness looked extremely cute in Song Junzhe’s eyes.
Yu Zhan was unhappy with how Song Junzhe was looking at Liu Man, “Be aware of your appearance. Do you think you’ve seen very few beauties?”
Song Junzhe said with double meanings, “But I’ve never seen a beauty around you.”
Liu Man could only understand one way his words meant. Did Yu Zhan never got a girlfriend before?
She didn’t know why she felt a bit happy inside.
“Looks like you two are going out right now. Where are you heading to?” Song Junzhe was determined to be the third wheel, “It’s Man Man’s first time in Hong Kong, right? Where do you want to go? I happen to have time this afternoon, and I’ll be your tour guide.”
Liu Man was the first to have the heir of Song Tai Real Estates be her tour guide, and she wasn’t even grateful.
Yu Zhan knew Song Junzhe’s personality and understood Song Junzhe would not be leaving them alone today, so he could only get on Song Junzhe’s luxurious car with Liu Man.
In the car, Yu Zhan asked Song Junzhe how he knew he was in Hong Kong.
Song Junzhe said, “Alex told me that. I’m very familiar with him.”
Author’s Note: In one of the s, it was already said that Alex was Huang Shiting’s English name.
It was only until many years later did Liu Man learn that the Song family owned the office building where the Westland company was in.
The car drove to Victoria Harbour, and the trio got down.
Yu Zhan was planning for a wonderful, romantic walk on the beach with Liu Man. It now turned into a trio walk.
Song Junzhe was only teasing Liu Man. He was talking to Yu Zhan the entire way since they hadn’t met each other for two years. The last time they contacted each other, Yu Zhan was buying cat food for Liu Man.
Liu Man didn’t understand what Yu Zhan and Song Junzhe were talking about. Song Junzhe wasn’t good at Mandarin, so whenever he got excited, he started speaking Cantonese and English. Yu Zhan would also reply to him in English.
And Liu Man’s English was trash.
So, as they walked along the beach, Liu Man slowed down her footsteps so the two men were walking in front of her, and they could have more space.
She started admiring the scenes at Victoria Harbour. The sea wind was blowing away all the clouds, the sky was very blue, and the views were open. Such a beautiful harbor, so many boats coming and going, and so many people of different races made Liu Man had an urge to take photos.
She took out her phone, aimed it at the harbor, and tried to include all the skyscrapers, seawater, and the blue sky in her photo. After taking lots of pictures, she chose the one she liked the most and posted it on her Wei Bo.
“This was taken at the Victoria Harbour.”
“Look at sis’ Wei Bo location. She’s in Hong Kong, now.”
“Sis, what are you doing in Hong Kong?”
“Is she, perhaps, there for the Cats’ Garden cat food!?”
There were always smart people among the fans who could nail the truth.
Liu Man made another post to reply to her fans: “I’m in Hong Kong right now, and I’ve already had a dealing rights negotiation with the boss of Westland. Soon, everyone will be able to buy 100 percent authorized Cats’ Garden cat food from me!”
“Princess is doing great! (Makes a heart with fingers!)”
“Sis even went all the way to Hong Kong just because of this.”
“And it seems she’s becoming a real, verified dealer, not one of those private, illegal surrogates.”
“Because I was scared to buy more fake cat food, my cat has been eating home-made cat food for one month! I can finally be free from making cat food!”
“Haha, cat owners can finally stop worrying about buying fake cat food.”
“When is sis going to start selling cat food? I want to be your first customer!!”
…
There were lots of cheering and dancing on Princess Man’s Wei Bo.
It took a while for Yu Zhan and Song Junzhe, who were walking in front, to realize Liu Man didn’t follow them. The two men looked back to see her, with her head lowered, looking down at her phone. As if she had seen something, she was covering her mouth and laughing. A wind blew at her from the sea and messed up her hair. She lifted her head to look at the direction the wind blew in, and as she stood there, facing the wind, it looked as if she walked out of a painting.
The two men were surprised by the beauty of this scene. Song Junzhe asked Yu Zhan, “Which family is she from?” Song Junzhe thought of all the families he knew that went by the first name, “Liu”. None of them had a child named “Liu Man”.
Yu Zhan shook his head, “She’s not one of us; she’s a normal person.”
“I don’t believe it,” Song Junzhe didn’t believe his words at all. No average families would ever be able to bring up a child with such a temperament.
“My pet clinic is right near her house, and I’ve gone to her compound before. I would know better than anyone.”
“Then, this is a phenomenon,” Song Junzhe was impressed, “Ah, no wonder you, with such high expectations, would like her.”
At this time, Yu Zhan, with his phone out, turned on his camera and took a photo of that pretty girl, standing not far away.
