Chapter 634 Do You Think, She Would Blame You?
In the bedroom.
Yuan Meng stared at Ye Qian with a pensive look after asking the question.
"Yes, it's very dangerous."
Ye Qian took her hand in his and held it tightly while looking into her eyes and continued.
"But I won't let anything happen to anyone of you."
Seeing his worried face, a gentle smile appeared on Yuan Meng's beautiful face as she neared the distance between them and locked her lips with his.
After a few moments, she parted and stared at Ye Qian with dreamy eyes and mumbled.
"I know my dummy won't let anything happen to us."
"And nor am I worried about it."
Ye Qian sighed in relief in his heart and with his hands extended towards her shoulders, he said.
"Although the tribulations are risky, all this long, no one among Yan, Yin'er, Quo and Qing'er has ever suffered any kind of injury during the tribulation."
"Hmm."
Yuan Meng nodded and pulled him towards the sofa.
She had heard of his disciples and Qing'er and knew of their relationship and even felt pity for the girl.
But knowing her Qian'er, she couldn't help but sigh.
"Alright, I will tell you about what I have been hiding from you for so long."
Hearing her words, Ye Qian's brows were raised high.
Ye Qian clearly knew that whenever he picked the topic of her family, Yuan Meng felt feel bad and thus he promised her that he won't ask about it to her ever again.
And since it didn't matter to him, Ye Qian was not aren't about knowing about it either.
"I want you to keep your head on my lap."
Right when Ye Qian was about to sit by her side, Yuan Meng requested something out of the blue.
Ye Qian nodded and placed his head on her lap as she fondled his hair while trying to recall.
"From a long time ago, all our female ancestors, like my mother, grandmother, great grandmother and their mothers."
"They all carried tremendous fortune and prosperity tied to their fate."
By the time she said it, a mocking smile appeared on her lips.
"But this fate was always in exchange for something."
"Qian'er you know, my ancestors were all women and no one of them had a boy child?"
Ye Qian frowned hearing her statement.
This kind of anomaly was not something which he had ever seen even in the world of cultivation, and this was something which he thought was very important information.
"Every woman would have a girl child and after the baby turned five or six years of age, the mother would suddenly get a kind of disease and after that, she would die and tell this information to her daughter who would be just a child while her mother lied on the death bed and tell her all the mystery of the clan."
Yuan Meng's eyes turned red as she remembered the scene in which her mother used her last breath to tell her all of this and then dies right in front of her eyes.
And there was no one who came to her when she cried for 2 whole days while lying beside her mother.
That little child saw her mother die in front of her eyes while she cried nonstop for days but there was no one who came to even soothe her.
Ye Qian felt his throat turn sore as he saw Yuan Meng's face.
He could see the pain and guilt that she had been hiding in her heart for all these years.
If one were to separate the points out of what all Yuan Meng had said to Ye Qian, then it would not be wrong to say that there was one important statement here.
The mother would die of a cureless disease after her daughter turned five or six.
If one thought it thoroughly, then one could think that all of this was caused due to the birth of the child.
Had the child not been born, then there was a high chance that the mother might never die.
Of course, this was just a theory, but Yuan Meng seemed to have been blaming herself for her mother's death all this long and felt even more guilty after remembering it.
It would not be wrong for a child to think like this after hearing something like this from her mother.
She would definitely blame herself for her mother's illness and death.
And the same had happened to Yuan Meng.
Of course, Yuan Meng's mother might not have thought that her little daughter would start to think like this.
And if she had known then she might have not even said anything about it even if she had to stop the passing of the secret to her daughter and suffer the curses of her ancestors.
Ye Qian sighed in his heart, just thinking what Yuan Meng might have gone through when she saw a little girl back then gave chills down his spine.
For a moment he even thought that this was some curse, but then remembered the tremendous prosperity and fortune linked to their fate was definitely not something which any kind of curse would have.
There were curses or blessings all long as Ye Qian had known about.
The curses would do bad to you while the blessing would obviously do good.
But there was obviously no such curse which would exchange your life for that of prosperity and fortune of the family.
And definitely, there was no such cruse which would get activated after having children.
And that was because the children had an innate power in them which would ward off any kind of curse due to the Natal Qi in the mother's body which was formed during the time when the child was in his or her mother's womb.
"Mengmeng, you can't blame yourself, just think, would Mom have felt any good knowing that you have been blaming yourself for her death?"
"Do you think that she would really be blaming you for her disease?"
