Chapter 652 - Who Called You!?
Chapter 652 - Who Called You!?
Asmodeus could not believe the sight before him as his steel-grey eyes blinked in bewilderment at the shameless child.
"You called me here and now you dare ignore me!?" He snarled right back at her.
Yvonne was the reason he was here right now.
Her words and her actions had been the cause for his sudden emergence because, like always, this foul-mouthed child had managed to infuriate him.
However, facing his angry countenance, Yvonne did not back down as she was just as mad at him, if not more, for everything that he had done until now.
"You deserved it!" She stood by her words and deeds.
Not only had he tossed her into this world, now the script that this world followed was crumbling away as well.
'Whose fault is it that you cannot even write a proper script?' She mocked him in her mind.
However, after not interacting with him for so long, this little girl had failed to recall that the other person was a God.
Therefore, everything that was going on through her mind, Asmodeus and Theo were able to hear every single word of it.
Theo grimaced as this was a sore spot for his Master and right now, this little girl was poking right at it without any remorse.
"Miss Yvonne, you shouldn't say such a thing about my Master." His gentle voice trembled as he explained what she had done wrong.
Once again, Yvonne was mesmerized by the little bird and his soothing voice.
'Much better than his grating voice.' She scoffed, still not grasping the true meaning of Theo's words.
"You think my voice is grating?" A calm voice echoed in Yvonne's mind which finally made her recall a few memories of their past interactions.
Coughing in embarrassment, she looked away from the pair of eyes that were leering her way.
Asmodeus scoffed at her before glancing at his disciple with an equally infuriated look on his face.
"What Miss Yvonne? Why are you being so polite to her?" He reprimanded Theo who lowered his head, accepting the wrongs that he had done.
Yvonne rolled her eyes at this sight because, in her eyes, one appeared to be bullying the other.
Theo's adorable appearance made her pity him before she glared at the bigger blue bird who had made him sad.
"At least he is being polite," she scoffed before continuing, "unlike you." She muttered in the end.
Asmodeus glared at the impudent child before deciding that it was best if he ignored her nonsensical mumbling for now.
"He is my disciple and he does whatever I order him to." He announced which brought new information to Yvonne.
Her eyes flitted to the cute bird in search of confirmation and seeing him nod, she felt more pity than before.
"You poor little thing." She sighed at Theo's pitiful fate.
Theo, the disciple who was just introduced, did not know why this human had looked at him with her eyes brimming with compassion.
However, his Master was quick to grasp this little exchange between them.
"Why have you called for me?" He questioned before she got on his nerves, any further than what she already was.
"Who called you?" Yvonne snapped her head to look at him with a disgruntled expression forming on her face.
Gone was the gentle look that she had while gazing at Theo.
Now, there was a fire burning in her eyes as she leered at the God of flight and thunder hovering right before her.
She had only cursed him out, never truly calling him because the last thing she wished for was to see him once again.
However, like everything else today, nothing was going her way.
Asmodeus froze in his place when he heard her words and realized that she was speaking the truth.
She had not invoked his presence but her actions and words had forced him to make an appearance here.
Therefore, he chose to correct his sentence from earlier.
"Why were you doing that then?" He reiterated his query and glared while thinking of the disrespectful gesture she had shown him.
Earlier, Yvonne had glowered at the sky and even flipped it off while imagining it to be this God who was flying before her eyes.
However, she had never thought that he was truly paying attention to her words and would show up out of nowhere.
Therefore, she let out another cough of embarrassment before reverting to her neutral expression.
She could not change what she had done so she could only utilize this opportunity in her favor.
'I doubt I would make a different decision if I was given the chance.' She scoffed in her heart in regards to the gesture with the middle finger that was involved.
Asmodeus glowered once again when he heard her thoughts and lightning struck in the sky.
Yvonne's shoulders flinched when the sky lit up for a second before it became dark once again.
'This body fears lightning...' She furrowed her brows while recalling a dream from the past where she had trembled during a thunderstorm.
When Asmodeus heard this thought of hers, he grimaced a little but regained his composure soon enough.
"Speak, Child! I do not have all day!" He narrowed his eyes before scowling.
'Your grapes will go nowhere, Master.' Theo reminded him since he thought that the reason his Master was so impatient was that they had left their meal halfway to arrive here.
Asmodeus shot a ferocious leer at his disciple which succeeded in stopping all such thoughts from appearing in his mind.
Yvonne wasn't too happy with his way of speaking to her and even grumbled that it was his lightning that had scared and distracted her, making her lose her train of thoughts.
When the God caught this thought, he decided that it was best to refrain from letting thunder strike until they were done with their conversation.
Thus with a sway of his wings, he sent away the dark clouds, allowing the bright sun to be shone over this portion of the St. Claire estate once again.
Yvonne sighed at this sight before she directed her attention to the one before her.
"Do you have any idea about what's happening in this world that you have created!?" She interrogated with a stern look on her childish face.
Theo was thankful that he wasn't using his true form right now because if he had, then his lips would have curved to form a smile due to her adorable visage which was overwhelming him.
No one could make out his smile due to his current form which was a boon to him right now as he felt that the child would not appreciate him smiling at her expense.
However, he was wrong as Yvonne had already melted for Theo's bird form and would only melt further if she saw the cute little boy's face which was his true appearance.
Sadly, now was not the right time for her to see his true form since her mind was fixed on the matter at hand.
She did not wait for Asmodeus to answer as she was not yet done with what she had to say.
"The male lead did not fall in love at first sight with the female lead!" She revealed the shocking news that she had heard today after interacting with the male lead.
Prince Fritzen displayed no signs of infatuation while he spoke of the girl who was at the gardener's house after he had regained consciousness.
All he spoke about was the girl who had cursed and insulted him.
Yvonne felt a headache arising at this thought which made her glance at Asmodeus, wondering how he would react to this news.
Unfortunately, the reaction she was waiting for did not arrive even after a few seconds.
'Is he so slow?' She tilted her head as he was taking too long to assimilate the information she had placed before him.
Theo felt as though he would fall to the ground in the next second while Asmodeus shot her a fierce glance.
"Why do you keep forgetting that I can hear your thoughts!?" He yelled, frustrated that her every thought was a shot at him in some way or the other.
Yvonne finally realized her mistake and looked away while scratching her neck but did not apologize for what she had just said.
Facing her stubborn behavior, it was the God who chose to be the bigger person and let it go for now.
However, her words from before made him narrow his eyes once again.
