Chapter 421 - CLOVER
Chapter 421 - CLOVER
Howard was curious once he heard that his little sister was finally ready to speak to their father about her plans of becoming a businesswoman.
The last time they had this conversation, she had been unable to answer most of the questions that had been posed to her.
That event had taken place quite a few months ago and she had remained silent ever since.
Therefore, he was intrigued to hear what she had come up with in order to convince their father to let her start her own business and also to keep the promise that he had made of protecting his children.
For this matter of fact, even Rutherford was curious to hear what she had to say in this regard.
'She stayed away from this Office for months and today it looks like she has come prepared to face my questions.' He surmised and waited for her to begin speaking.
Yvonne took in a deep breath as she prepared herself for what she was about to break to them.
When she had been discussing with Marquess Samed about a way to teach Mae Blaise and her family a lesson, she realized that she could use this as a chance to set foot into the business world of Rosenhyde.
Therefore, this time, she had come prepared to face any question that her father might have for her.
"You may begin." Rutherford nodded, granting her permission.
'I feel like I am a young intern.' She snickered to herself as this was much like a proposal she was placing before the big CEO and was nervous that it might be rejected.
However, thinking of how her mother had cheered for her earlier and encouraged her, she felt at ease.
Clearing her throat, she glanced at her brother who was looking at her with a smile before turning towards her father.
"Since the plan to sell soap to the citizens was my idea, it is only natural that it becomes the first project that I use to start my business." She declared in a self-righteous manner.
It had been her plan to use this strategy against Earl Blaise and to help the citizens.
'I won't mind it if I make a little profit while doing so.' She shrugged as she was not a fool who would say no to money.
This little idea of hers would act as the foundation of the business empire she wished to establish in the Kingdom.
"As you already know, I have collected more than enough investment money sufficient to look after the initial costs setting up the business." She reminded them of the bank card in her possession which had money transferred into it every month by Baron MacIntyre.
The two men nodded their heads as she indeed did possess enough to start a small business.
"The soap business could be the starting point of something new for our Kingdom." She exclaimed, excited that she was a step closer to fulfilling her dreams.
The last time they had discussed this matter, the Earl had chided her when she had failed to give him a proper response about the idea to start her own business.
This had been one of the main issues where she had been lacking the last time.
Since she had come up with a plan this time, he was not going to dismiss her right away but would hear her out.
"You do not wish to use the St. Claire's resources?" He inquired, making sure that she had not changed her mind since last time.
Yvonne shook her head as she wished to do this on her own and only needed him to stand on the sidelines to protect her if there ever was a need for him to do so.
'Money, ideas, and other things, I can handle them on my own.' She was confident in her skills as she had created her company 'Platina Entertainment' with her own skills and nothing else.
"This business… Have you thought of a name for it yet?" The father interrogated as the name was an important part of the business.
The name and the face of the business along with the quality of the goods or services they provided would be the means by which people would judge it.
Therefore, a good name was extremely important in his opinion.
Rutherford ran a family business so there was not much that he could do about it as it was named after their fief from generations of old.
However, his child was in the planning of making a new business which according to the world will have no relation with the St. Claire's business.
So the name was crucial as that was how people would recognize the company when it would gain momentum in the future.
Yvonne shared the same opinion as her father and had thought long and hard to come up with an appropriate name for the Business Empire she was about to establish.
After days of pondering, she had found what she was looking for and was immensely pleased with it.
"CLOVER." She revealed the name she had chosen for her business.
'Clover stands for luck which is what I need to stay away from my ill fate and to flourish in my endeavors.' She recalled the reason why this name had resonated with her.
To help them understand better, she even picked up a sheet of paper from the table before her and drew a pretty four-leaf clover that would act as the logo or emblem of the company.
She was aiming to build a conglomerate, intending to secure a foothold in major sectors of business in Rosenhyde and this emblem would be the one to be sought out in the future.
The little girl's face was glowing as she gazed at the drawing, thinking of what she could accomplish once she laid the foundation of her empire.
"Why did you choose that?" Howard muttered while peeking at the drawing that she had just completed.
Meanwhile, Rutherford held the piece of paper in his hand and scrutinized the emblem she had drawn which would represent her business.
"Clover is a symbol of faith, hope, love, and most importantly luck." She explained her reasoning and smiled at her brother.
"If I want my business to run smoothly without any obstacles or objections from the other nobles then I would need all the luck I can get." She shook her head and let out a scoff while thinking of how hard it was to just set up a simple business in this world.
Howard found her reason to be logical and nodded while repeating the name of the business she had thought about.
"Clover." He mumbled and liked the way it sounded.
Yvonne giggled and followed him by calling out the name that she had come up with.
While his children were fooling around, repeating the name numerous times, the father placed the paper down and cleared his throat to get their attention.
"Have you forgotten about the most pressing matter in your plans of starting a business?" Rutherford interrogated, succeeding in halting the jovial air surrounding the siblings.
It did not take long for Yvonne to grasp what he was talking about.
"That is the only part where I have not made any progress yet, Papa." She sulked as that was something that needed to be done at the earliest if she planned on starting her business.
Howard too had understood what they were talking about.
'The stand-in.' He recalled the strategy that his sister had proposed to keep her identity hidden from the noblemen while running her business.
She needed to find someone trustworthy and also someone capable of being the frontman of the company while she ran it from the shadows.
This was absolutely necessary as for one, she refused to take help from her father for her business, and another, she could not be the one to run it.
At least in the sights of the others, it needed to be a man who was running it to avoid any backlash from their society.
Yvonne knew of this and thus had come up with the plan of making a man the 'Boss' of the company while she would be the 'Hidden Boss' that no one knew about.
When Rutherford heard that she had not found anyone to take up the role of her 'Stand-in' he was not too surprised.
After all, the little girl rarely left the mansion so how was she supposed to find the one who was the best to occupy this position?
"How about you use that fool you call 'Brother' for this?" Howard suggested while rubbing his chin.
When Yvonne and Rutherford heard the boy mentioning this, they were instantly aware of whom he was referring to.
'Taylor?' The little girl wondered as she tilted her head to the side, mulling over the possibility of Taylor Tanner being the 'Boss' of her company, Clover.
