Chapter 612 Kate's Past-1
Chapter 612 Kate's Past-1
" I will." He said sincerely, he wanted to tell it to her face but she was still hiding it from him. He was only able to glance at it one time and knew there was something wrong with her.
" That's good enough for me."
" For what?"
" To at least know that someone that I came to love loved me back too. To be so desired for a week is enough for me before we part ways." She whispered and tried to get up but he firmly grabbed her hips refusing to let go without answers.
" What do you mean by part ways? Stop behaving like this and tell me what's wrong?" Samuel asked with a strict tone.
" I don't want to. I don't want to see you look at me with different gaze. I will somehow survive if you just think of me as someone you met by chance and remembered as being beautiful enough to catch your attention. It will be enough for me." She tried to break off by grabbing his arms. He could hear her voice tremble when she said it but she was still hiding her face under her hair not daring to look at him.
" Kate! If it's some sort of a joke, it's not funny. You can't expect me to break off without giving me a clear reason!" He almost yelled at but calmed himself down before continuing.
" I will respect your choices as long as you give me a clear answer. I can't just leave when you are behaving like this. You can lean on me." He patted her head as she stopped struggling and finally started speaking.
He didn't know at that moment what he was about to hear and what she was going through was something much more insidious than he imagined.

Kate was feeling conflicted because there was only one person that knew about it, Bella because she was directly involved in it. She was worried if he would still love her knowing about her past. She was sure it would break her for good if he started seeing her in different light because of it.
But ultimately she sat down and began telling him everything about it. It's not like she couldn't hide it for long after the little episode with Bella, she decided to take her chances. She laid head on his chest for some comfort and started from her childhood.
She had a dysfunctional family as her parents divorced at young age. As far as she remembered, she only seen her father a handful of times and never under positive circumstances. Even now she felt he never wanted to have her in his life because he had already married after splitting from her mother.
She tried to find solace with her mother but even she didn't have the heart to give her love. She found out later that she reminded her mother too much of her father which was why she would always distance herself even though she was barely a child.
The only people she could rely on were her grandparents that eventually came to take care of her after her mothers' death when she was in her early teen. Until her death, Kate never got a shred of sympathy or love from her mother.
She was raised in the countryside and eventually moved into the city to support her aging grandparents. Although she mingled with country folks, she understood life much better getting thrown into the bustling city when she started high school.
She even chuckled talking about her first year in highschool, it was where she met Bella whom she didn't get along at first. Being short tempered it was hard to see how both could get along quickly. They both had different group of friends that they hung out with, Bella hung out with the elites whom she known since childhood while Kate gathered together with the nerds which made their interactions like oil and fire.
Bella now was more refined and took more care of how she dressed but in those years she wore skimpy clothes and liked to act like a slut. Kate outright hated her because they would make fun of her modest appearance. Coupled with the fact that she was pretty, Kate knew it was the reason they always tried to mess with her.
Bella along with her group constantly tormented her until one day Kate decided enough was enough and snapped back at them. Kate was never a patient person but she tried to not get into trouble because it would only inconvenience her grandparents.
But that day, she threw some punches. Bella's friends all ran off when they saw Kate tackling down one of the girls on the floor. It's not like they were trained fighter but some hair pulling and well timed slap was enough to make her feared in their eyes.
Kate remembered that only Bella stood against her as they had their first and last fight that day. Both of their faces were battered and Kate even managed to pull out few strands of her hair but in the end they laughed looking at each other's messy faces.
She smiled throughout the whole things telling Samuel minute details. For him it sounded more like some boys friendship because it was littered with different fight scenarios and crude innuendos that usually happens in boy's drama. He honestly thought, she would next tell him that they took on a whole gang alone fighting through the minions to conquered the backstreets of london!
So far he didn't know why she was telling him this but he noticed her smile freeze when she said the next sentence.
" That's when I met him." She paused.
