Chapter 19: Su Yen, the Beast Race Nightmare
Chapter 19: Su Yen, the Beast Race Nightmare
The poison surged with malevolent intent, forming grotesque patterns in the air as it twisted and writhed.
It emitted a ghastly, luminous glow that bathed the surrounding forest in an otherworldly radiance.
Each droplet of this deadly concoction seemed to contain a malevolent consciousness, eager to corrode and consume anything in its path.
The acrid stench of the venom filled the air, assaulting Su Yen\'s senses with a pungent, nauseating odor.
As the poison cloud expanded, the forest vegetation withered and wilted upon contact, leaving behind only a desolate, poisoned wasteland.
As for Su Yen\'s sword strike, deadly as it was, it sliced through the venomous cloud.
However, the venom tried to fight back.
Tingling!
The killing intent in the sword strike vibrated vehemently, creating a resonance, spreading everywhere.
Anything in the path of the deadly sharp resonance was sliced into smithereens.
Even though the deadly strike was powerful, compared to the deadly venomous poison from a peak Qi Refinement beast, it\'s a bit lacking.
Hence, the deadly poison pushed the sword strike back.
Seeing this, an unsightly look appeared on Su Yen\'s face before he grinned evilly.
Whoosh!
A shiny bright armor appeared in Su Yen\'s hand. He looked at the armor with a look of anticipation.
He had been waiting to test this new armor of his but didn\'t have the chance.
Now, the chance presented itself.
The newly Metal Bone Construct was entirely different from the others.
It was painted in blue and black with a hole on its chest.
\'Let\'s see the wonder of the Metal Bone Construct version 2.0.\'
Quickly, he adorned the armor swiftly and placed a spirit stone inside the hole. And at once, the armor flashed with a blue light.
Without activating it with his qi, Su Yen could feel his body filled with earthshaking power.
Si! Si!
Su Yen raised his head, and he noticed the massive venomous poison almost overcoming the starlight sword strike.
Without further ado, he activated the Metal Bone Construct and attacked.
"Starlight Blossom Slice -- Second Form."
Vibration.
The air twisted, vibrating as if trying to escape from a killing nightmare. Tens of massive starlights appeared in the sky, illuminating everywhere.
Each starlight contained a massive power that was way beyond what an early Qi Refinement practitioner could muster.
Seeing this, the huge yellow eyes of the Abyssal Viper King rolled in their sockets, and all the scales on its stood straight, and a primal fear erupted from the depth of its soul.
Hiss! Hiss!
Its piercing hiss filled the forest as it opened its mouth once again and sent more venomous poison.
Unfortunately, it underestimated the power of the sword strike.
Boom!
The land shook vehemently. Tens of ancient trees were sent into the air, surrounded by a cloud of dust.
The previous lush forest turned into a barren land in seconds, and cracks appeared everywhere.
Bang!
A massive reptile collided with tens of ancient trees, but they couldn\'t stop it from flying backward.
After crashing for another 50 meters, leaving destruction in its wake, the Abyssal Viper King finally came to a stop.
On its chest, a ghastly sword injury appeared, cutting through its thick defense with blood gushing out like a broken dam.
Hiss! Hiss!
The python rolled in anguish, hissing continuously. Blood came out of its mouth with deep fear appearing in its yellow eyes.
Whoosh!
Just as the snake was trying to recover from its misery, another deadly strike appeared in the sky.
Seeing this, the snake hissed loudly and turned toward the core area, and tried to escape.
Bang! Bang!
Unfortunately, Su Yen would not give it the chance. Under two deadly sword strikes, the massive python halted its great escape.
Its big yellow eyes looked at the small figure in front of it with deep hatred as life drifted out of its body. Deader than dead.
\'Huh!\'
[Ding!]

Looking at the notification, Su Yen\'s lips curled up a bit. He turned his head and looked at the massive reptile for a moment before a thought flashed through his mind.
\'If I leave now, there is a high probability the beast race will send another beast to attack us and my plan...\' He mused, and an evil grin appeared on his face.
\'It is time to show those beasts why they shouldn\'t mess with me.\'
Without further delay, he headed toward the core section of the Dreadshade forest.
If any human witnessed his daring behavior, they would be stunned silly.
Even though the core section was tens of kilometers deep into the forest, Su Yen arrived at the boundary in a couple of minutes with his movement skills.
"Is there anyone here?" Su Yen said, amplifying his voice with qi.
For a couple of minutes, the forest was eerily silent. The wind failed to blow, and the insects failed to make a sound.
Everywhere was still.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, the temperature rose to another level, and a red fireball whistled toward Su Yen at a breathtaking speed.
Whoosh!
Su Yen didn\'t change his expression and quickly evaded the attack with his movement skills.
Just as he evaded the attack, a shroud of death enveloped him, and his instincts were screaming of danger.
Bang!
Su Yen was sent flying and crashed into a gigantic ancient tree with a deep hole appearing on his back.
\'Huh,\' He sucked in a cold breath, his eyes getting heavy as he began to lose consciousness.
Whoosh!
With the last bit of strength, Su Yen saw two massive beasts appear.
The Inferno Drake and the Shadowfang Warg.
He only sensed the Inferno Drake\'s attack but didn\'t detect the Shadowfang Warg\'s attack at all.
The two beasts looked at each other before they looked at the puny human with disdain.
"How dare this puny human come here with this measly strength?" The Inferno Drake said, its voice appearing inside the mind of the Shadowfang Warg.
"I thought it was going to warm us a bit, but he\'s weak like an ant." The Warg retorted in disdain.
Unbeknownst to them, Su Yen\'s injury was healing at a devastating speed. Just as the two proud beasts prepared to return to the core area.
Something happened.
Bang!
Howl! Howl!
A deadly sword strike hit the two beasts, sending them crashing into an ancient tree.
The beasts cried in agony and turned to look in the direction of the attack. And behold, they saw Su Yen looking at them with an eerie smile.
"Shall we continue our dance?"
