Chapter 41 - 41: Xie Yu’s Suspicion, Audition
[Exactly, Teacher Lin’s expertise is evident. If she were teaching Xie Yu, he might even claim the center position. Can Xie Yu even debut under Si Fuqing’s guidance?]
[You guys probably don’t know, but Teacher Lin has even been to Glenn. Although not for awards or nominations, she’s still been there, unlike Si Fuqing who probably doesn’t even know what Glenn is.]
“Wow, Glenn, that’s impressive!”
The mere mention of ‘Glenn’ shifted the weight of the conversation online.
Soon, the focus of netizens turned towards the upcoming Glenn Awards ceremony in June.
The production team, of course, was aware of the online furor.
“The director, Si Fuqing is causing a lot of trouble lately,” said the selection manager, walking over. “Many trainees have grievances against her and hope that she can leave the show.”
The director took a drag from his cigarette, “Has Tianle Media said anything?”
“Tianle Media has not specifically mentioned it,” the manager replied, “but they are very satisfied with the class divisions and have asked us to fully promote Lu Yan.”
When Xie Yu initially signed up for ‘Youth With You,’ several entertainment companies had already extended their olive branches to him.
But he was too proud to sign with any of them.
Several entertainment companies, including Tianle Media, had contacted the production team insisting that Xie Yu be suppressed.
Although the show claimed to be a transparent public vote, the script had long been written.
But no one expected Xie Yu’s overwhelming talent, which disrupted the script, forcing the team to manipulate the votes in the backend.
The manipulated data was not something Xie Yu’s fans could easily detect.
Those in the Imow within the production team certainly wouldn’t leak such a reputation-damaging secret.
“The show’s popularity is consistently rising; we don’t need to interfere,” the director mused. “However, we can’t let Si Fuqing become too arrogant.”
The selection manager nodded, “Teacher Lin’s side wants to release this morning’s video.”
Lin Qingyan had been in the entertainment industry for many years and had a certain amount of backing.
Si Fuqing’s actions today had left Lin Qingyan’s side quite dissatisfied.
“Alright,” the director agreed, “let’s do as they say.”
Meanwhile.
In Dance Room 2.
“I’ll dance it once,” Si Fuqing turned on the music, stretched her wrists, and curled her lips into a bold, unrestrained smile. “If you can’t catch on, go stand facing the wall for an hour to reflect on your inadequacy.”
Everyone: ‘ .
In front of the mirror, Si Fuqing had already started the first dance step.
The trainees were watching intently, fearful of missing even half a beat.
The four new trainees initially had little hope but grew more and more astonished as they watched.
The girl’s waist was incredibly flexible; high-difficulty moves seemed effortless for her, as if she was plucking them out of thin air.
Every time she bent her waist and spun, it accelerated the heartbeat of those watching.
The drumbeats in the music suddenly surged.
Si Fuqing’s dance steps sped up; she danced faster and faster, exuding a sense of explosive energy. “Boom! Boom!
“Boom!”
As the final drumbeat fell, she bent at the waist, then straightened up, spinning a full 360 degrees on her feet.
Her slender fingers brushed past the corners of her eyes; her fox-like eyes half-closed, emanating a bewitching allure. She looked like a soul-stealing fairy.
The trainees were left dumbstruck, their hearts pounding as if they would leap out of their chests.
It took them a long time to snap back to reality after the dance had ended.
“Alright, that’s it for now,” Si Fuqing said, sweeping her hair off her forehead.
She turned her head and met Xie Yu’s slightly sharp gaze, her eyes narrowmg,
“Did you learn that?”
“Yes,” Xie Yu withdrew his gaze. “I got it.”
“Good, then you lead them in practice,” Si Fuqing said, pulling her hair into a ponytail with a hair clip. “I’m going out to organize some new materials.”
Xie Yu nodded in agreement.
After Si Fuqing left, he finally spoke, “Xiyun, is there a computer around here with internet access?”
“There should be one backstage,” Xu Xi Yun hesitated, “What do you need a computer for? Isn’t your phone enough?”
“The phone screen is too small; I can’t see clearly,” Xie Yu said nonchalantly,
“You keep practicing; I’ll go check the backstage.”
“Alright,” Xu Xi Yun looked puzzled. “What are you looking at?”
Striding forward, Xie Yu answered, “I’m going to watch previous Glenn Awards ceremonies.”
In the break room.
Si Fuqing stretched lazily and reclined in her chair.
This was her first time leading students, and it felt surprisingly rewarding.
Casually glancing at her phone, she saw two new messages.
[Jiang Changning]: There’s an advertisement audition tomorrow at 2 PM. The company has already requested a leave for you from the program team. Here’s the address.
[Jiang Changning]: [Image]
Si Fuqing’s eyes narrowed.
It was the first time any of her fellow group members had contacted her since she woke up.
She belonged to a five-member girl group that returned from overseas last year.
Due to disparities in resources among the members, they had essentially gone their separate ways, even though the group hadn’t officially disbanded.
Jiang Changning was the only one she ever chatted with.
Si Fuqing remembered that Jiang Changning’s persona in the group was that of a cold beauty.
She was distant, but beautiful.
Surprisingly, she also cooked well.
That was acceptable, so Si Fuqing chose to respond.
Si Fuqing typed a message.
[Alright.]
[Jiang Changning]: Don’t forget to remove your makeup.
Si Fuqing raised an eyebrow and leisurely responded. [I think I look better with makeup on, don’t you?] [Jiang Changning]: Heh.
Si Fuqing clicked her tongue, “Feisty. I like it.”
Closing her phone, she picked up a folder.
Something in her arms was wriggling, it was that Pixiu attempting to find new gold to eat.
“What are you wriggling for? Do you think you’re a pig?” Si Fuqing coldly pressed it down, “Pigs can get fat. Can you?”
Little Bai: “…”
It couldn’t.
How damaging to its self-esteem.
Meanwhile, at the advertising audition management office.
“Here are the artists coming for auditions tomorrow.” the assistant director placed a stack of applications on the table. “Sort them into A and B levels; we’ll prioritize A-level auditions tomorrow.”
The assistant nodded, “Alright.”
The number of people auditioning for this advertisement was significant, so they needed to be sorted into levels.
A-level artists received priority, while B-level artists were largely overlooked.
The assistant quickly sorted through dozens of applications.
He had seen many artists, so good looks no longer impressed him.
Until he came across the next application.
A face with gothic makeup burst into his line of sight.
The assistant was startled and quickly checked the name.
Si Fuqing.
After pondering for a moment, he recalled that she was a dance instructor on
‘Youth With You.’
She had been trending on social media recently, and it was mostly negative. She was essentially universally disliked.
Her age was appropriate, but this look…
Anyone who wore such heavy makeup would look unrecognizable without it.
However, to shoot this commercial, it required all makeup to be removed
Moreover, Si Fuqing had too many haters, making her a risky choice for any project.
The assistant shook his head, tossing Si Fuqing’s application aside..
